During that same period, no schools were placed on the Closure List.  The Watchlist, maintained by the New Mexico Environment Department, includes schools and businesses with two or more Rapid Responses within 14 days. The sale of the cruise ship is in line with parent company Carnival Corporation’s plan to accelerate the removal of less efficient ships from its fleet. Pacific Princess first joined the cruise line’s fleet in 2002, and originally entered service in 1999 as R3 for Renaissance Cruises. The boutique-style ship offered an intimate cruising environment, with a total of just 670 passengers, but incorporated many of the dining and entertainment options available on the cruise line’s larger cruise vessels.

The Fokker 100 airliner, operated by Qantas subsidiary Network Aviation Services, was in the cruise at 26,000 feet on a scheduled passenger service for QantasLink from Perth to Geraldton on 10 August 2020 when the flight crew received an excessive cabin altitude warning. In response they donned their oxygen masks and commenced an emergency descent, and manually deployed oxygen masks for the passengers.
